Licensed for Civil Ceremonies, whether it’s a smaller, more intimate celebration or exclusive use of the hotel, we would like to offer you the opportunity to spend the most romantic day of your life with us at Chapters.

Dedicated Events Team

We understand that planning such a big occasion is no small task, which is why our friendly and helpful staff are at your service from the moment we meet to discuss your requirements, to the time we say farewell to your very last guest.

Our dedicated team will be your contact throughout the planning and organising, available for viewings by appointment for yourselves, photographers and florists.  They will be your main point of contact when helping to make the arrangements for your big day.

Present on the day they will ensure everything runs according to plan.

Your Wedding Reception

Once you have decided on your wedding date, please contact us to ensure that your chosen area is available. A provisional booking will then be made, after which we will require an initial payment and written confirmation of your booking details.  We have the following choice of venues available – for up to a maximum of 120 guests:

The Brasserie                                                  – up to 40 guests

The Restaurant                                               – up to 48 guests

The Terraced Garden                                    – up to 60 guests

Civil Ceremonies

We are licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies, Civil Partnerships and Renewal of Vows Ceremonies – we are an approved venue for Civil Ceremonies, so you no longer have to travel to a Church or Registry Office to get married. The benefit is that your wedding will be unique you can decide what to include in your service, whether it be your favourite music or piece of poetry, all you need to do is agree on it with the registrar.

If you are holding your reception with us, the room hire charge will be dependent on the day of the week and if applicable will be £275.00

If you wish to hold your ceremony here without a reception, the charge will be £500.00

To arrange your civil ceremony firstly provisionally hold your date with ourselves and then contact the Superintendent Registrar and confirm with them if they can conduct the ceremony. This can be arranged up to 12 months in advance of the marriage and should be done as soon as possible. Their office address and details are:

We are proud of our excellent cuisine (using only fresh, local produce), attention to detail and friendly service.

We will provide you with a range of menus for your special occasion. If our menus do not suit your special requirements, we would be more than happy to discuss them with you. Our chef will sit down with you and go through any special needs or dietary requirements.

All of our menus are completely flexible and can be arranged to suit. From buffet to sit down menus, we are happy to help.
