WSET Wine Academy

Chapters Hotel is an approved training centre for the Wines and Spirits Educational Trust (WSET) courses and in 2009 we became one of only a handful of venues in the North of England accredited to run WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) courses in-house. We are dedicated to developing our team members, therefore, every member of staff with a WSET lapel pin is educated to the WSET Intermediate level.

Great News for Karen……

 We are delighted to announce that our wine expert Karen Hardwick has won the award for the Best Wine Educator in the World sponsored by Riedel Crystal. Karen received her award from Jancis Robinson at the Wine Trade Oscars held at the Guildhall in London in early January which was attended by finalists from all over the world.

Whether you are a wine enthusiast, work in the wine trade or just want to learn more about wine the WSET Level 2 Certificate in wine is a great place to start. We follow a structured plan which covers wine making, grape growing and all the major wines and wine producing areas of the world.

 The sessions are informal and informative and are taught by the WSET Educator of the Year, Karen Hardwick from The Wine Academy.

 Karen has a pass rate of over 90% which includes many complete beginners.

 Not only will you be able to taste great food and wine in the comfortable surroundings of Chapters Hotel but you also will have the opportunity to achieve a recognised Wine qualification.

 Course Fee £325 including tuition, all wines, books, exam fees and lunch i.e. just turn up and we will do the rest.
