First Friday Wine Tasting -

New Zealand

Friday 6th August

Our New Zealand evenings are always fully booked well in advance so do book early. Is Cloudy Bay really the best Sauvignon Blanc? Take our taste test challenge and decide for yourself. We also try some of the new aromatic wines being produced in New Zealand and have a few special bottles not available in the UK but brought over especially for the event.

First Friday Wine Tasting -

Australia

Friday 3rd September

In the UK we drink more wine from Australia than any other country. It’s not surprising as the wines are generally well made, well priced and very well marketed. As well as favourites such as Shiraz and Chardonnay we will explore some lesser known grape varieties and regions. Take a trip down under, no passport or rucksack required!

Henriot Champagne Tasting Evening

Thursday 23rd September

In July beverage manager Ben Cotts flew out to the region of Champagne to visit the Henriot champagne house. Henriot champagne is only served in top restaurants throughout the world and the Henriot family are very selective on where there champagne is poured. Chapters can proudly boast that they are included in the list of elite restaurants that have been given the exclusivity of this outstanding champagne. The idea of the trip was for the current front of house team to gain a better understanding of the process involved in producing Henriot which will then be followed up with an Henriot champagne evening

Dr Brown & The Groove Cats

Friday 24th September

Dr Browns & The Groove Cats are a “must see” band playing 50s style West Coast Swing, Jump Jive & Chicago Blues, will be playing an intimate set on Friday 24th September in the Brassiere at Chapters Hotel. The event is free, just a dinner reservation is required.

Northern Italy

Friday 1st October

With over 1000 grape varieties to choose from it’s easy to see why we have had to divide Italy into two evenings. On our Northern Italy evening we will explore the wines of Piemonte and the Veneto . So if you want to know your Barolo from Barbera, Prosecco from Pinot Grigio then join us on a vineous tour of Northern Italy.

Whiskey Tasting Evening

 

Thursday 14th October

*£45.00 per person *

7:00-7:30 Arrival for an 8pm Sit down

On arrival, a Ginger Grouse Cocktail will be served

There will be a number of different malts which will be served during the 4 course evening dinner.  These will include

• Mccallen
• Highland Park
• Laphroaig
• Glenrothes
• Ardmore

This is an exclusive evening which will include a Whiskey Expert describing the Whiskeys with a menu to compliment the drinks..
