We can cater for that special day for your child to be Christened
The Restaurant offers a stylish and comfortable private dining area, holding up to 40 guests, for you and your guests after a traditional Christening at Church. Should your party be larger, we also have the Brasserie at the front of the hotel or dependent on weather, we have our delightful Terraced Garden area.
Often a more informal style of catering is preferred for such events. With this in mind our award winning Head Chef Sean and his team of qualified chefs have created a selection of light menus including hot and cold buffets.
As with all of our packages, our menus are only as a guide and we will gladly alter your selected menu to suit your individual requirements.
As many Christenings take place on a Sunday, we also offer the 3 course Sunday lunch menu at £16.95. We do ask for pre-orders to ensure the smooth running of the day.
Should you prefer a different style of menu or dining to those listed below, simply give us a call.
Dietary Requirements – Many people have special dietary needs, or simply very individual tastes. Given notice, our chefs can cater for your guests own individual requirements.
Children – It is often more suitable to cater for Children’s tastes separately. Please speak to the team who will put together a special menu to cater for their needs.
Drinks – We do operate a private bar in the Terraced Garden and table service in all other rooms for your guests.
Have you thought about a Naming Ceremony at Chapters?
A Naming Ceremony, is a very special way of celebrating the birth of your child and welcoming the new arrival into the family and the wider community. It is also ideally suited to celebrate an older child into the family, particularly if there has not been a celebration previously. It is also ideally suited to welcome and celebrate an adoptive child into the family or to embrace stepchildren into a new family. A perfect way to bond a family unit.
It’s also an opportunity to declare before family and friends, your promises to be as good a parent as you can, and for adult friends or relatives to confirm their special relationship with your child.
The child or children can be any age. A Naming Ceremony is a unique occasion for everyone to feel involved as they pledge their love and support for your child’s future development.
Who can arrange a Naming Ceremony?
Any parent can make the arrangements to hold a Naming Ceremony. Likewise, anyone who has parental responsibility or legal guardianship of the child or children. Parents do not have to be married and can come from any cultural background, with any spiritual or religious beliefs or with none.
Chapters Hotel also holds a full Civil License making it perfect for holding a very personal Naming Ceremony either in The Restaurant, The Brasserie, or outside in our adjoining Terraced garden area.
